Contract on setup of Bandar Abbas gas condensates refinery signed
According to the latest reports, the engineering operations of the gas condensates refinery have started.
To this end, the Star of Persian Gulf Oil Company (Pvt. Joint Stock) was established with the participation of Indonesia’s Star Petrogas, Oil Pension Fund Investment Company, and National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC), and was authorized to design and construct the gas condensates refinery.
The company’s board of directors has six members, out of whom three are from Star Petrogas and three from the Iranian party.
The gas condensates refinery will be constructed in three similar 120 thousand barrel chains in a plot of land with 340 hectares.
The refinery is to produce 360 thousand barrels of gas condensates per day and its feedstock is provided by the 36 inch, 420 kilometer long pipeline extended from South Pars (SP) gas field.
The refinery’s products will consist of 35 million liters of gasoline, 13 million liters of gas oil, 1.3 million liters of heavy gas oil, two million liters of liquid gas, three million liters of light jet fuel, and 130 tons of sulfur.
